The most important training I’ve had in yoga was definitely the two years I spent going to a Mysore style practice with Halifax based teacher Seth Daley. He trained with the Jois’ family in India, Hart Lazer in Canada and Ramadan Patel in San Fran (big names in the Ashtanga and Iyengar worlds), AND he had the same massage training I was actively pursuing. At that time I had also suffered a few injuries that he coached me though. I would say 80% of what I learned about yoga, anatomy, injury and healing using movement/psychology, I learned from Seth.

Describe one of your most memorable yoga classes.
My most memorable yoga class – as a teacher – is the one where six people farted lol. I ignored the first two. Then made a couple jokes for the next two. Then the last two just had everyone in stitches.
If you could swap jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be?
If I could swap jobs with anyone for a day, I would pick Jane Goodall. Preferably back in the day when she was on some kind of jungle adventure making friends with Chimpanzees.
How do you recognise when you’re stressed?
I usually know when I’m stressed a little too late to do anything about it….But I’m really working on that now. And getting better at it, if I do say so myself 🙂
