Join Kids yoga instructor, Amy Haysom, in a fun multi age yoga series for all levels!

Kids will learn the basics of yoga and how to explore the energies that exist in their inner and outer landscapes in this 4 part series. Activities will include team building games, fun breathing activities, freeze dance/yoga, partner and acro yoga, music and singing bowls, laughter yoga, prop-sculpture building contests, relaxation techniques, stretch and strength activities, sharing circle, and more! Healthy snacks will be included in each session, and some discussion about nutrition too!

Samhain (:’sa:win), or “summers end” is the name of the ancient Celtic festival that marks the final harvest and the beginning of winter. The midpoint between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice when the light continues to wane and the cool winds herald the end of the solar year. Nature has stripped herself bare, surrendering to the forces of rest and renewal, knowing that without them transformation isn’t possible. We too must embrace this period of release; to turn inwards and listen deeply to the stirrings of our soul.

Take your time to settle in with relaxing breathwork and gentle yin practice to relax the body and dissolve unwanted tension, and to prepare the body for deep rest.

Please bring whatever you need to support yourself for a longer guided meditation. Pillow, blanket, bolster.

Winter Solstice marks the astronomical beginning of winter. The light has dwindled to its lowest point and the natural world is at rest…however deep in the darkness a spark is lit and the waxing year gently begins. Although the demands of this season can pull us away from our dark sanctuary, this is a time of maximum yin when we require the same rest & quietude that Nature does.

Solstice means ‘sun stands still’, as it appears for a few days that the sun rises & sets in the same position on the horizon. It is a time to pause, to sink into stillness and prepare ourselves for the new solar year and the growth cycle to come.
